Himachal Pradesh

PHFI joined hands with a local NGO to provide last mile delivery of diagnostic services/health screening services to the rural population of Himachal Pradesh through RIEV Program through their local cadre.

The aim was to conduct operational research on various aspects of Point of Care Technology like Swasthya Sahayak to maximize efficiency and utilization amongst the rural population of Himachal Pradesh. PHFI provided initial training to NGO staff to use POCT (Point of Care Technology) in state or district headquarters before deploying devices in appropriate batch size. The training sessions were held at Shimla campus and 150 staff were trained on Swasthya Sahayak Platform. A State level official was located at IIRD Shimla to facilitate and resolve day to day issues related to POCT. Hilly terrain, extreme weather conditions makes it very difficult for people to have access to primary health services. Thus, Swasthya Sahayak helped community to have access to health services at their doorstep. Exclusive dashboards and portals have been made to monitor live data and facilitate decision making.

Goa

Swasthya Sakhi is a designated female worker who has to work at assigned subcenter in coordination with the ANM of that Sub center. Swasthya Sakhi has to digitize household information by conducting household survey including identification of pregnant women. ANM will conduct diagnostics of the pregnant women and refer cases to the static facilities for further management. Also, Swasthya Sakhi will identify people who have or who are at risk of developing Corona virus infection.

PHFI identified the deploying partner and deployed Swasthya Slate at these hubs. Hubs were linked with the volunteers who were provided with Android tablets pre-installed with TB questionnaires as defined in End TB Programme. Live monitoring of data was done remotely using a live dashboard, to keep a check on the field implementation. In addition, the Project complements, Digital India, Made in India.
